JOB TASK
The International Spa Training Leader is accountable to the Wellness Centre Leader. The International Spa Training Leader shall as required from time to time assist in the supervision of the floor of The Wellness Centre, Eve’s Beauty Salon, and The Skin Clinic supporting the supervisors to achieve a smooth product delivery and high client satisfaction.
The International Spa Training Leader is also responsible for the delivery of a training programme to holistic holistic therapists of differing abilities and experience to support excellence of the delivery on the Wellness Centre floor and Eve’s Beauty Salon and The Skin Clinic.
The International Spa Training Leader must possess and display exceptional leadership and organisational skills. The incumbent must be organised, out-going, friendly, efficient, imaginative and hard working. They must be able to earn the respect of team members. A sound educational background and experience as a spa therapist trainer is essential.
Success will be measured by the incumbent’s ability to lead the teams meet corporate goals through the accomplishments of training provided to the trainees and ongoing training and development of the Oasis holistic therapists.

JOB DESIGN
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITES:

Leadership Expertise
•Guide the business concerning any changes in direction as dictated by the wellness industry, company or local factors.
•Actively monitor industry trends, conduct research, provide timely recommendations as well as orchestrate the needed training to upgrade or improve the spa and practitioner offerings.
•Partner with Wellness leadership ensuring operating standards and high levels of guest satisfaction are maintained;
•Assist with the supervision of the Wellness Centre team members in terms of work/training punctuality, wearing of the correct uniform and watch, physical appearance of male and female holistic therapists, appropriate make-up, hair and jewellery; and programmes);
•Evaluate the effectiveness of holistic therapists (at all levels) and identifying learning needs, ensuring required certification training, maintaining qualifications needed etc;
•Drive a culture of continuous skill-building, collaborate with SSR Corporate Learning leader to chart roadmaps for holistic therapists;
•Perform talent reviews, assess potential and establish quantifiable metrics which can track performance;
•Create individualised development plans for holistic therapists as well as for succession planning purposes;
•Model effective coaching skills and behaviours which support an environment of learning and growth;
•Review goals, identify gaps, assess present and future training needs;
•Responding to information on guest satisfaction regarding the treatments delivered by holistic therapists and devising and implementing strategies to enhance it;
•Serve as a Holistic Wellness ambassador of the resort attending Leader’s Cocktail, Public Relations & Community Social Responsibility events;
•Create a motivating environment of sincerity, warmth and fun for team members, holistic therapists, practitioners and guests.
Training & Development
Champion the design & development of Wellness Centre Training Courses/Classes Syllabus which will afford procedures on the following:
•Assessing students at interview and commencement of training to determine learning styles and special requirements for training, ensuring equal opportunities;
•Prepare and update the syllabus to meet the requirements;
•Prepare a scheme of work for each subject delivered to trainees;
•maintain a Tutorial, Course Document and Internal Verification file. Contents of each file should reflect the requirements of Sunswept Resorts, Human Resources recruitment and training standards;
•Manage a class of approximately 10 students trained over a period of 10-12 weeks in Anatomy and Physiology, Swedish Body Massage, Indian Head Massage and Facial Aesthetics;
•Ensure the inclusion of generic requirements of – Health and Hygiene, Skin Structure and Function, Skin Diseases, Hair, Business Studies, Salon Procedures and Nutrition. These subjects should be integrated into the teaching of the above modules;
•Include skills training to ensure that trainees are able to articulate and communicate clearly with guests and colleagues, refer to practitioners, treatments and other holistic therapists, promote paying treatments and retail products and are knowledgeable in all products used with The Oasis;
•Ensure the course run reflect the requirements of The Wellness Centre;
•Prepare an annual training plan outlining the schedule of events and requirements and budgeted costs;
Wellness Centre Training Manager
•ensure that the training grid is updated weekly to reflect training performed;
•consistently evaluate the holistic holistic therapists to determine their readiness and preparedness for advancement
The Wellness Centre, The Skin Clinic & Eve’s Beauty Salon
•The International Spa Training Leader must oversee the training and experience the treatment personally before approval is given for a therapist to ‘go live’ with the treatment and ensure the Trainer has organized that supervisor’s book the therapist(s) several times in the new treatment so that they can assess the new therapist.
•train holistic therapists/team members within the circles ensuring that correct and consistent standards are maintained; identify training needs and plan training programmes for team members;
•conduct training for holistic holistic therapists in order that team members have the necessary skills to perform their duties and ensure professional development of all team members;
•ensure that the team members skills grid is updated weekly to reflect each holistic therapists skills in the above circles;
•ensure that all holistic therapists provide a courteous and professional service at all times;
•train holistic therapists as and when the spa menu or treatments change, improve or there are added procedures;
•train new trainees in paying and ritual treatments who have completed their probationary period to a consistent and satisfactory level, subject to the approval of The Wellness Centre Leader;
Other Responsibilities
•continually monitor and improve all holistic therapists in their skills, conduct, retail sales and referrals randomly and organise small groups monthly (when not teaching courses);
•design, develop, innovate, wherever possible, indigenous signature treatments;
•submit monthly reports to the Wellness Centre Leader
•do spot checks on the therapist at least 3 times per week and attain
guests feedback;
•to liaise with the Wellness Centre Leader to identify and develop present and future training needs of the floor;
•to liaise with Eve Barnard to identify and develop present and future training needs of The Skin Clinic and Eve’s Beauty Salon
•maintain effective channels of communication throughout the relevant circles;
•regularly update knowledge and skills in the professional field;
•Identify the training needs with other Sunswept Resorts spas and Managers namely – The BodyHoliday and Rendezvous
•In addition, International Spa Training Leader will complete any special tasks or assignments that he or she may be given from time to time by The Wellness Centre Leader or the resort General Manager

Minimum Core Qualifications:

JOB PURPOSE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business or related discipline.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in roles involving direct guest interaction, guest relationship management or personalized service within hospitality, wellness, tourism, luxury service or other guest-focused environments.

The Director of Sales (DOS) is responsible for leading the resort’s sales strategy and execution to achieve revenue, market-share, brand-positioning and business-development objectives. The role serves as the resort’s primary commercial representative and connects regional commercial priorities with disciplined resort-level execution.
The DOS leads strategic account management, business development, relationship management and market expansion across priority source markets and segments, including leisure, group, MICE, incentive, retreat, wholesale, consortia, travel advisors and corporate business. The role is highly visible, relationship-driven and customer-facing, requiring strong knowledge of luxury hospitality, wellness travel, bespoke selling and international market dynamics.
The DOS partners closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Public Relations and Resort Operations to maximize total commercial performance, strengthen the direct relationship with guests and partners, and ensure that the experience delivered consistently matches the promise made in market.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Sales Strategy, Planning & Business Development
• Execute the Regional Commercial Sales Strategy by translating strategic priorities into measurable resort-level sales initiatives that achieve revenue, market-share and business-development objectives.
• Lead the development and execution of annual, quarterly and rolling 90-day sales action plans, with clear priorities, target segments, account strategies, activity measures and expected commercial outcomes.
• Develop and implement targeted sales initiatives that increase market penetration, strengthen brand presence and grow share within priority source markets.
• Build, maintain and optimize a sustainable pipeline of qualified opportunities that supports revenue growth, forecast accuracy, conversion discipline and long-term commercial health.
• Lead proactive and reactive sales activity, including resort tours/site inspections, hosted FAM trips, media visits, client appointments, sales calls, roadshows, trade shows and industry events.
• Drive group, incentive, retreat, MICE and local event business, balancing strategic fit, profitability, operational capacity and brand alignment.
• Respond to RFPs and group inquiries, lead negotiations within delegated authority, and ensure accurate and seamless handover of confirmed business to Operations.
2. Strategic Account Management & Partnerships
• Cultivate, retain and grow strategic relationships with preferred tour operators, travel advisors, consortia, corporate accounts and other high-value commercial partners in collaboration with the Regional Commercial Leader.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with decision-makers, meeting planners, luxury travel networks, destination partners and relevant industry organizations.
• Negotiate and manage preferred commercial agreements within delegated authority, ensuring alignment with revenue objectives, brand standards, commercial strategy and long-term relationship value.
• Conduct regular business reviews with key production partners, translating account performance into actions for retention, growth, recovery or reallocation of resources.
• Identify and activate strategic partnerships that strengthen brand visibility, deepen market access and create qualified demand.
• Represent StolenTime with credibility and consistency at client events, trade shows, roadshows, familiarization trips and other industry forums.
3. Revenue Growth, Commercial Performance & Forecasting
• Own delivery of annual room-revenue and market-share objectives, working collaboratively across the commercial and resort leadership teams.
• Increase the proportion of reservations generated through profitable direct channels, including resort website, telephone, email and walk-in demand, while maintaining a balanced and strategic distribution mix.
• Drive ADR growth by proactively managing strategic accounts, segment mix and opportunities to strengthen rate and revenue potential.
• Partner with Revenue Management to optimize business mix, account deployment, group strategy, inventory considerations, pricing recommendations and distribution choices.
• Identify opportunities to grow ancillary revenue through wellness programs, experiences and special events.
• Monitor booking pace, conversion ratios, pipeline health and account productivity; translate performance data into clear corrective and growth actions.
• Own the development of accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports and commercial outlooks, providing reliable insights to guide leadership decisions.
• Manage sales expenses within approved budgets and ensure resources are allocated to the markets, accounts and activities with the greatest commercial potential.
• Lead monthly business reviews and communicate concise recommendations, risks, opportunities and actions for future performance.
• Provide ongoing market intelligence, competitor insights and customer feedback to inform pricing, promotions, product development, service enhancements and resource allocation.
4. Commercial Leadership, Cross-Functional Alignment & Guest Advocacy
• Act as a trusted commercial advisor to the General Manager and Resort Executive Team, bringing forward market intelligence, customer insight, commercial risks and growth opportunities.
• Foster seamless collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Revenue Management and Resort Operations so that the resort operates as one integrated commercial engine.
• Act as guardian of the StolenTime wellness brand, ensuring sales narratives, proposals, partnerships and guest promises are authentic, distinctive, accurate and deliverable.
• Ensure all sales messaging accurately reflects the resort’s wellness positioning and experience proposition.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure the delivered guest experience consistently fulfills the commercial promise made to customers and partners.
• Provide guest, advisor and partner feedback to influence product innovation, service enhancements and sales tools.
• Participate in regular sales meetings, performance reviews, strategy meetings and executive discussions, maintaining clear communication and follow-through.
5. People Leadership, Performance & Talent

• Provide direct leadership, in collaboration with the Regional Commercial Leader, to Business Development Managers supporting the StolenTime commercial agenda, including U.S. and European market activity as applicable.
